Don’t ask less of me

Sometimes I write because I feel like it. The rest of the time I write because I absolutely have to. This is one of the “must-write-it-out” times. It took me five minutes to write the following verses. I love the end result. (Please don’t call me out on my lack of humility, if you can help it. I have plenty of mediocre posts out there, and I bloody well know it! )

 

Don’t ask less of me

Ask more.
In asking less, you dismiss my potential.
You leave parts of me undiscovered … unfulfilled.

Don’t ask less of me.
Ask more.
I’ll use your expectations and your belief in me
As inspiration to become the best version of myself.

If you truly love me,
Don’t ask less of me.
Ask more.
Ask everything.
